Substance Use Prevention Assembly: Elementary School

Through our continued partnership with Montage Health and Prescribe Safe Monterey County, students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade at Olson Elementary School were able to attend an assembly on substance use prevention on May 17, 2024.

 

Students heard a grade-level appropriate 30-minute presentation by Dr. Casey Grover, an emergency and addiction medicine specialist at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.

 

The presentation covered alcohol use, vaping, cannabis, and the risks of fentanyl.
